PETA- The Chimpanzees Need Your Help, Rosaires Chimpanzees Will Be Exploited at ChristmasVille!!!!

In Lieu of all of the horrible things that have happen in the past year I think this is outrageous!!!!! What if one of those Chimpanzees gets loose and attacks the public, the children? My God, look at Travis the Chimpanzee, Timmy the Chimpanzee, Henry the Chimpanzees, so on and so on. Don't these people watch anything on the news or read anything on the Internet. Awareness folks, that's all it is.

The public needs to help, in just a small way, don't go!!!! or you can... Please contact Candy Clapp at 803-329-8756 and educate them on the practices behind the scenes, voice your opinion. ChristmasVille in Rock Hill.

Don't promote this cruel industry of ripping babes off of their mothers, never allowing them to raise any of their offspring's, caged in tiny cages, riding in tractor trailers around the country, made to wear stupid hats and high heels, and most of all.... made to do unnatural things for chimpanzees. They shouldn't be riding horses with chains around their necks, acting like clowns. They deserve much more dignity then that. Look at what Travis the Chimpanzees did, because he was forced into a human society, he finally fought back, so unfortunate for Charla Nash!!!!! I don't know about you folks BUT I don't respect them. I thought Christmas was about love, sharing, family, Santa Claus and what else you believe in, not CHIMPANZEES!

Gee I wonder if Gini Valbuena and new Chimpanzee Babe, Eli will be there also?

Horseback-riding chimpanzees and aspiring country crooners are among the new attractions coming to the 2009 edition of ChristmasVille, Rock Hill's annual Noel-a-palooza.

Organizers are pitching the four-day holiday splurge, which runs Dec. 3 through 6 in downtown Rock Hill as a family-friendly -- and pocketbook friendly -- affair.

"Our tagline this year is, 'Have a big Christmas after all,' said Candy Clapp, the city's downtown marketing and events manager. "We are having over 70 activities, and most of them are free.

"For many families, this will be the solution to the holiday, due to the current economy situation. Even though Santa might not be able to deliver all the presents this Christmas, through this event he can still deliver the best one of all: making memories with family."

In addition to some traditional ChristmasVille favorites -- the Lighting of the Village, the grand finale celebration and 20 tons of real snow in the Snow Village -- organizers have brought some fresh and lively events. Among them:

- The world's only trick and fancy horseback-riding chimpanzee. No, really. Chimpfabulous! starring the Rosaire Chimpanzees, is billed as the most respected and largest chimpanzee ensemble in the entertainment industry. Three shows are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5, on the grassy area in the 100 block of East Main Street. Showtimes: 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m.

- Nine state music entertainment champions will compete Saturday in the Southeastern regional finals of the "Colgate Country Showdown." The show will be at 5 p.m. in the Freedom Center Sanctuary on East Main Street. The winner will compete against four other regional winners in a national TV broadcast at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville for $100,000 in January 2010. Tickets: $5. To buy tickets in advance, call 803-324-1071.

"It just does your heart good to come down," Clapp said. "It's not about spending money but making memories with the people you love. "We have something literally for everyone.

"It just keeps getting bigger and bigger."
