What the public thinks of the pratices of Gini Valbuena AKA Virginia Valbuena

Gini Valbuena AKA Virginia of Florida has been taking baby chimpanzees and Orangutans away from their mothers for 40+ years.

Gini Valbuena who runs Chimpencounter florida, which use to be called Valbuena Chimps has a video up on YouTube whereas her last chimp, named Noah is brushing his teeth. Where is Noah now? She now has Eli AKA Chance at the Rosaire's place in Florida. You folks I'm sure have heard about that awful Circus clan.

I'm happy to see that the public view of owning Chimpanzees is not only abusive, but sick and delusional. Years ago people would post how cute they are, though with all of the events that have happened with Chimpanzees in the past 2 years it has brought great awareness. Chimpanzees are not pets, not your prisoner to hold and don't belong to people! I would say that most of the good comments have come from Gini Valbuena herself or one of the rosaire's circus clans.

It has been illegal to import baby chimpanzees since 1975. Eli was not captured from the wild and his mother was not murdered. Eli's mother was herself born in this country and raised by humans. Eli was her first baby and she had no idea how to care for him. And again, he is not a pet. The wild is a cruel place for chimps...bushmeat, deforestation, human encroachment and disease are taking their tolls and chimps will soon become extinct in the wild. Extinction is forever.

Caregivers routinely brush baby teeth or teach the baby to do so, which prevents plaque build up and reduces the incidence of gum and dental problems in the future. For someone who does not believe in raising endangered animals in captivity these things are seen as abnormal. To the caregivers of these animals, if it does not negatively affect the animal's welfare, it is an acceptable practice.

There are crazier animals, such as big cats, that can live perfectly with humans. So an intelligent semi-human ape really isn't a problem. It is illegal where he comes from to own them as pets.
