Chippewa Falls (WQOW) -- A missing monkey has been found and returned to the Irvine Park Zoo.
The monkey got out when someone broke the locks and cut holes in the fences to free several of the zoo animals. The Chippewa Falls Parks and Recreation Department had been tracking the monkey for a few days in a wooded area near the zoo where they found it.
The monkey is resting safely, and is unharmed back at the zoo. The city is offering a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those behind the crime.
