Baby Monkey Born at Columbus Zoo

POWELL, Ohio — A baby Silver Leaf Langur monkey was born at the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium this week.

He is the second baby Langur at the zoo -- another one was born about two weeks ago, 10TV News reported.

"All of our females have helped raise the babies we've had in the past," said Laura McGlothian of the Columbus Zoo. "We have a female here who doesn't have a baby and now sometimes you see her with both babies."

The monkeys are orange in color for three to five months before turning grey.

The Columbus Zoo and the Bronx Zoo are the only two facilities that breed the Silver Leaf Langurs.
