Woman at Nebraska Zoo was petting the Chimpanzee when her fingers were bit off

Like I said before, don't these zookeepers of AZA Zoos know better? With the recent years of horrific attacks what was she thinking? Did she think that because she cares for them, they aren't dangerous? ALL chimpanzees are not only dangerous, but unpredictable, to say the least. In the Sandra Herold/Charla Nash case after Travis attacked Charla he was coming after the woman that had raised him for years, Sandra Herold.

Believe me, I know Chimpanzees, I made the mistake of owning 2 myself and in the past 10 years I have been around many many adult chimps, both as pets and in sanctuaries. They are NOT to be trusted! Even someone that is an expert on Chimpanzee behaviour would never be alone with a chimpanzee that is not secured.

Story-
Be careful with chimps: Chimps bite off Nebraska zoo keeper's fingers.
Two chimpanzees at a Nebraska zoo attacked a keeper and bit off two of her fingers, police said on Saturday. The keeper at the Riverside Discovery Center in Scottsbluff, Neb., on Friday afternoon was petting a 40-year-old chimpanzee who apparently did not want to be touched, according to police.
Here's how it went down:
When the chimp grabbed the keeper's hand, the keeper started screaming, causing the chimp to scream, police said. This attracted another chimp, who also grabbed the keeper's hand.
The chimps bit, and the keeper lost her index finger and a ring finger on one hand at the knuckles, police said. The middle finger had a laceration but was not bitten off.
