Henry the Orangutan will celebrate his 20th Birthday
A special resident at the El Paso Zoo turns 20 this weekend.
Henry the Sumatran Orangutan will celebrate his birthday with the El Paso Zoo staff this Saturday and Sunday. A table will be set up from 12;30 to 1:30 both days and keepers will give Henry pinatas with treats inside.
Sumatran orangutans are a critically endangered species. The population of Orangutans have decreased 80% over the last 75 years and the decline continues with deforestation. The Sumatran orangutan exhibit is apart of El Paso Zoo's Species Survival Program.
