PALM HARBOR - The monkey is on the move – again.
Much as he has done throughout the week, a monkey popped up in neighborhoods in Palm Harbor today, according to the Pinellas Sheriff's Office.
One sighting occurred at about 8:40 a.m. at Highlands Boulevard and U.S. 19, the other at about 9:15 a.m. near Westlake and Tampa roads, in the Rustic Oaks subdivision, the sheriff's office said.
Shortly after noon, the monkey was seen crossing U.S. 19 westbound just south of Tampa Road.
Then, the animal was seen about 2:30 p.m. heading west across U.S. 19 near Foxboro Drive and Westford Circle.
Deputies are checking out the reports.
Authorities stopped actively looking for the primate on Sunday, but continue to respond to sightings.
